Temple History

The Tadbund Anjaneya Swamy Temple, located in Secunderabad, is a revered 400-year-old shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Known for its Swayambhu (self-manifested) idol, the temple is famous for Lord Veeranjaneya Swamy and a unique, naturally formed Vinayaka idol on the same rock.

Origin: According to legends, the idol is said to have appeared spontaneously (Swayambhu). It was later established or found by a wandering saint from North India around 150–200 years ago, though the site itself is considered much older.
Unique Idols: The main sanctum features the Swayambhu Lord Veeranjaneya Swamy, with a rare Swayambhu Vinayaka idol on his left side.
Name Origin: The temple is situated in the Tadbund area of Secunderabad, which lies on the Bowenpally-Sikh Village main road.

Rules & Guidelines

Dress Code: Wear modest, traditional clothing. Avoid shorts, short skirts, and sleeveless tops. Some temples may require covering the head or specific attire like sarees or dhotis.
Purification & Cleanliness: Bathe before visiting a temple and enter with a clean body and mind.
